These last couple of months have not been good for Auger-Aliassime. He's out of the top 10 now.

Seeded no.3 for wimbeldon.

Unfortunately, he’s been quite unlucky with injuries this season + as of now he’s not able to play his best stretch of the season (indoor HC). It’s a shame because he’s one of the best players during this time of year.

Yup, it is actually pretty hard to go from being 4th for a lot of the season to then finishing outside the top 15, unless you were out injured for a lot of the year

He has been playing injured, basically since his QF run at Wimbledon

I mean as in actually missing a significant amount of tournaments

Keep in mind that when you're in the top 10 there functionally isn't much difference from losing in the early rounds of a tournament or missing it all together. Felix withdrew from his 1R match at the AO and 2R match at the USO with injury and has had to withdraw from Canada, Shanghai, Brussels (defending champ), Basel (defending QF) and now likely Paris (defending F) with injury as well. That's a very significant amount.

Wasn’t it actually cramps at the AO not an injury? Anyway, it’s obviously unfortunate that he got injured at the time when he’s defending most of his points, but I guess his problem is he couldn’t capitalise on having a very high seeding at all the tournaments where he wasn’t injured

Attitude issues aside this was one hell of a run from unknown tennis college player just a year ago

The way he rose up the rankings in an year is incredible

What an insane year he's had. Really hope he makes it to Turin.

Going from playing the Next Gen Finals in 2025 to playing the ATP Finals in 2026 would be kind of insane

Carlos technically did that when he won Next Gen Finals in 2021 and qualified for ATP Finals in 2022, but he got injured sadly before he could participate. He also had to skip AO 2023 😔

If I remember well Tsitsipas did this… And won both.

Bad news for the ball kids who will not give him any towels.

Swiatek does the same thing, the ball kids are used to it by now

Cry more

Wow, that's what you want to tell to the ball kids if you're Jodar?

Spanish top players and men's tennis isn't gonna stop being a thing anytime soon. Didn't take long for another legitimately good Rafa to come around

Ngl, I think we might have a future slam winner on our hands here. Give him a other two to three years and he might genuinely be good enough to beat Sincaraz on a good day. He already played a pretty tight and competitive first set against Sinner. And he'll definitely be able to capitalize on a chance like Zverev got this year.
There was a lot of discussion around Mensik, Fonseca, Tien and Blockx, but this guy might genuinely be the real deal. He's about on the same trajectory Sinner was at his age.
