Basilashvili's backhand is deadly. His forehand was a little more up and down today, but it kept Tsitsipas on the back foot. To Stef's credit, he was clutch in the breaker- he hadn't won a point off Basil's first serve the whole set (and only one in the first set), but he nabbed two there.
Anyway, he's back inside the top 100 in the live rankings, sitting at #94. He had a brief stint back here a year ago- with his current form though, I could see him climbing up a fair bit more.

That’s a stretch. He’s got 40w in Top 20 but never a YE finish. Perennial Top 50 would be more accurate as he’s got 177w there.
