Paul did about as well I'd expect him to given the surface-matchup combo. He can trouble Fritz on faster surfaces but really struggles to play through him on slower ones which can't mask his meh serve.
I think Acapulco 2022 or 2023 was the only time he beat Fritz on a slow hardcourt.
