I saw him in person and my partner who wasn’t even a fan of Carlos at that time said, “that was the most unbelievable level of tennis I have ever seen”

It's funny how straight up terrible Zverev has been at the 500s this year lol he's the anti Carlos
At the big events for the most part it's been true that his bad top 10 record is 80% Sincaraz but at smaller events I just checked his record yesterday and he's like 0-5 vs. non-Sincaraz top 15 players
Like obviously in the grand scheme of things it's the least bad level to totally flop at but it's a big reason why he might end up finishing the season with no best of 3 titles

Lost to Kecmanovic iirc in Acapulco, his first 500 of the year. Went on to lose to Cobolli in Munich ig, he didn't even play Hamburg ig? Then a mandatory loss to Fritz, beaten by Nole in Beijing and then De Minaur in Vienna.
