Vacherot is actually amazing at finding ways to win matches where he felt like clearly the worse player.

He plays like a man who really, really doesn't want to go back to grinding challengers and it makes the difference sometimes.
...I'm mostly joking

I actually agree. Of course nobody wants to lose but I feel like Vacherot is very aware the chance he got and wants to make absolutely the best of it.

I think the analysis is correct actually, winning Shanghai was life-changing and I'm sure he doesn't want to go back to his old life.

If he doesnt get injured i see him playing at least top 50 tennis for the next 3 years

Serve carried him a lot, saved break points in two serve games each during both sets he won

Please he returned well both First Set and Second Set. He also saved a 40-15 break points while serving two second Serves. Saying Serve carried him is a disservice, because he also had break chances against Jodar, one of which was from Jodar being 0-40 to Vacherot being a break up.

Jodar is now 7-15 in tiebreaks I think this year

I don't understand the hype. He isn't that special. We had players like Musetti, Rune, FAA, Shapo doing this stuff at the same age. Even better things, nothing special. People talk about his return like its good, did you saw how many unreturned serves today

Throwing around the word abuser is a Reddit special
We have actual abusers on tour, don't diminish the meaning of the word

He issued 'im sorry if anyone got offended' apology. Everything's fine now. Move on.

I don't see anything wrong with a Shanghai master champion defeating a Shanghai master runner up
