Caroline Wozniacki and her husband David Lee dressed up as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for a Halloween party in Miami. The former World No. 1 women's tennis icon shared a picture of her and Lee's elaborate Halloween party costumes and drew reactions from both tennis fans as well as players past and present.
On Wednesday, October 28, Wozniacki took to her Instagram and shared three pictures. While the first of them featured the Danish former WTA star and her American former NBA icon husband in their Swift and Kelce-inspired look, the two others were solo pictures of an all-smiles Wozniacki. The 2018 Australian Open champion, tagging both Swift and Kelce, captioned her post:
"Halloween party 2026! @taylorswift and @killatrav take Miami! How'd we do?! 😎 "
Unsurprisingly, reactions came thick and fast in the comments. One fan playfully wrote:
"Taylor doesn't have that backhand!"
"This is funny because back when you were first coming up as a 17yo in 2008, you always reminded me of Taylor with your blonde, curly hair. But of course now in your 30's you both have straight hair 😂"
Croatian WTA star Donna Vekic, a former World No. 17, wrote:
"Told you bangs would suit you 😍"
American former ATP star Sam Querrey, who reached a career-high ranking of No. 11 during his playing days, commented:
"Who are you guys??"
Tracy Austin, the American former WTA No. 1, weighed in:
"You aced it! Epic!! 🔥🔥😍"
In January 2020, Caroline Wozniacki ended her tennis career citing her desire to start a family with Lee and manage her rheumatoid arthritis. Three years and two kids later, the Dane made a surprise comeback to the WTA Tour, with her career highlights following her return being her fourth-round finishes at the US Open in 2023 and 2024.
Last year, she paused her playing career after announcing her third pregnancy. Months after giving birth to her and Lee's third child, she made a special appearance on the Nothing Major podcast, which is co-hosted by Querrey alongside other American former ATP stars John Isner, Jack Sock and Steve Johnson. Here, she suggested that in all likelihood, her playing career is over. Wozniacki said:
"No, I think it's over. I still have a lot of time to decide. If I think I can get myself back in shape, never say never. But with three small children, it's already a full-time job."
Apart from the 2018 Australian Open, Wozniacki won 29 WTA Tour-level titles, including the 2017 WTA Finals.
