The one year his finals qualification is not certain he wants to play lol. Bad news for Tiafoe, Jodar and Fils.

I had the same thought. Didn't he qualify the last 2 years then skip it? The man likes a challenge

I swear he just wants the ability to say “no”. If he had qualified easily he’d have skipped it.

No Sinner this year.

Yes, and currently the players I mentioned are 6-8 in the race ranking. If Djokovic manages to get the points someone is going to be left out.

Sinner probably heard that Djokovic is gonna try to play, so he decided to run away. Better not get embarrassed again like in final of 2023 when grandpa Djokovic beat his ass on his home turf.

Well the fact is that Sinner lost zero sets in last 2 editions of ATP Finals (he faced Alcaraz, Medvedev, Zverev, Fritz, FAA..) but he did lose in STRAIGHT sets against Djokovic in his very end of his last competitive year.

I wouldn't be surprised if he does a Murray and we have no idea when he's retiring until a few weeks before the Olympics

I think he will retire in olympics 2028.

I've been assuming that that is his intention for a while.
